The Peoples Plan for Jobs, Housing and Community is a far-reaching effort to stop displacement and improve the living and working conditions of immigrant families in the Mission District. We organize our community to confront irresponsible politicians and greedy developers that have targeted the Mission as a playground for the wealthy.  Immigrant Power for Environmental Health & Justice

While our home is in the Mission, our communities live throughout the Southeast side of San Francisco in neighborhoods like the Excelsior, Portola, Visitacion Valley, and Bayview Hunters Point.  Environmental hazards from the whole city are concentrated here, affecting our health, and harming our children, families, and elders the most. PODER builds grassroots leadership among immigrant families to confront the harmful environmental conditions that keep us from living full and healthy lives.  Read More.

 

Pa’ Mi Comunidad Latina: ¡Yo Voy a Votar!

For My Latino Community: I will vote!

Pa' Mi Comunidad focuses on educating and mobilizing our community to vote.  Members develop recommendations for our voter guide and then distribute them through our field program. PODER focuses our efforts on informing and mobilizing new and infrequent Latino voters in 6 precincts, three each in districts 9 and 11.  Read more.
