The Bicis del Pueblo Action Team plays a crucial role in creating bicycling infrastructure and promoting environmental justice in our community. By engaging in bike-based community education, advocacy, and organizing, Action Team members actively contribute to the resilience of Southeast San Francisco neighborhoods.
Joining the Bicis Action Team provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community. Whether you are passionate about promoting sustainable transportation, advocating for equitable access to resources, or building a stronger sense of community, there is a place for you in Bicis Del Pueblo. You don’t need to be an expert cyclist or have prior experience in activism; what matters most is your commitment to Bicis del Pueblo work and a willingness to learn and grow alongside our group of leaders.
We believe everyone has contributions to make towards moving our powerful work at Bicis Del Pueblo forward. We believe that collective efforts and a commitment to grassroots community leadership development are essential for achieving environmental justice in our local neighborhoods. By joining the Bicis Action Team, you will have the opportunity to lead community events, support bike education programs, engage in advocacy efforts, and contribute your unique skills and knowledge.
Together, we are co-creating a welcoming and joyful space for people of color, immigrants, women, and gender non-conforming community members, while fostering community resiliency, reducing fossil fuel consumption, community health and wellbeing.
